So, a few months ago, the good old Google decided to release a new rule that forces developers to modify their apps and update them to the latest version of the Android SDK. Currently, a new version of Android is announced every year and this year it was requested during the August period to make this change so for the moment remember that the app is also hosted directly on this site (even if this site is also hosted on the Firebase infrastructure owned by Google) and also on GitHub. So in the future, you can expect a few updates to the app and an annual SDK update that will be released every year around the August-September period. I'm really sorry that Google doesn't give much freedom to small developers who create good apps but don't have an empire behind them and can't do anything about it.
